
I am so excited Christmas 2022 is just around the corner. Its always been my favourite time of the year.
This year I’m going to make and build a Cathedral style Gingerbread House from scratch. It will be in four separate phases, starting with making the Christmas Gingerbread House Dough – Construction strength.
Experience Level : Medium Experience in Baking. Construction Gingerbread is not for beginners, however you can prove me wrong, if you like. But please, no crying due to inexperience – lol.

CHRISTMAS GINGERBREAD HOUSE DOUGH RECIPE
Wet Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of butter ( 338 g )
2 large Eggs
1 1/2 cups of Brown Sugar
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 cup of Molasses
Dry Ingredients:
6 cups of sifted Flour
4 teaspoons of Ground Ginger
2 Tablespoons of Cinnamon
1 teaspoon of Ground Cloves
1/2 teaspoon of Ground All Spice
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt

Method:
1. SIFT the dry ingredients all together in a large bowl. That would be the flour, spices, baking soda and salt.
2. Next — place butter into mixer. Begin mixing until creamy.
3. Add Brown Sugar and mix throughout.
4. Add 2 whole Eggs and mix evenly.
5. Next — Now add one cup of Molasses
6. Once all is evenly mixed throughout, begin adding flour, about a cup at a time. Let time to incorporate until you add more, until all the 6 cups of flour is mixed in.
7. Remove dough from the mixer and begin kneading the dough, as shown in my video.
8. Roll out ( as shown in video) and cut into 4 ball pieces. This way you can use only what you need at the time of making your gingerbread house.
